Afternoon Tea in Singapore: Taiwanese High Tea, Soufflé and Dim Sum at Typhoon Cafe

Looking for afternoon tea in Singapore that isn't a three-tier stand? Typhoon Cafe at Plaza Singapura serves Typhoon Afternoon Delights (台風午後茶) from 2pm to 5pm: a Taiwanese-style afternoon tea with a High Tea in a Box for two at $29.90++ and a Soufflé Set at $16.90++, plus 20% off à la carte dim sum.

It's a relaxed, wallet-friendly alternative to hotel afternoon tea, right above Dhoby Ghaut MRT.

What Is Typhoon Afternoon Delights?

Typhoon Cafe Afternoon Tea Delights menu and prices

Afternoon Delights is Typhoon Cafe's afternoon tea menu. Instead of scones and finger sandwiches, you get Taiwanese bites, soufflé pancakes and artisan teas, served between lunch and dinner when the café is at its quietest.

There are three ways to enjoy it:

  • High Tea in a Box ($29.90++ for two): a nine-compartment box of Taiwanese bites with two drinks

  • Soufflé Set ($16.90++ per set): Soufflé Stackers with a GIFEL Tea or Cold Brew Tea

  • 20% off à la carte dim sum: from xiao long bao to prawn dumplings, during the same hours

High Tea in a Box: Afternoon Tea for Two

The High Tea in a Box (下午茶) is made for sharing. It arrives as a wooden box divided into nine small compartments, each holding a different bite, so two people can graze through sweet and savoury together.

The set includes two drinks, chosen from the GIFEL Tea Series (hot) or Cold Brew Tea. At $29.90++ for two, it works out to under $15++ per person.

The Soufflé Set: Afternoon Tea for One

Coming alone, or want something sweet? The Soufflé Set ($16.90++) pairs Soufflé Stackers, Typhoon Cafe fluffy soufflé pancakes with fresh berries and ice cream, with a GIFEL Tea or Cold Brew Tea.

Upgrade to a Pot-Boiled Milk Tea for $3.90 if you prefer something richer. Read more about our soufflé pancakes and pot-boiled milk tea.

Add Dim Sum at 20% Off

From 2pm to 5pm, Typhoon Cafe's à la carte dim sum is 20% off, which turns afternoon tea into a proper Taiwanese dim sum session. Popular picks include Handmade Xiao Long Bao (6 pcs, usually $12.90++), Prawn Dumplings, Truffle Mushroom Bao and Salted Egg Custard Buns. The Abalone Seafood Soup Jumbo Dumpling is excluded.
